Children’s Sports meet – a rare treat for displaced children
Read moreThe children in Sri Lanka’s displacement camps received a rare treat recently when World Vision organized a special sports meet to mark World Children’s Day.

While the children in the big cities regular have the opportunity to celebrate the event for those in the camps the occasion was a very special affair and the first time ever that children of the North had a celebration of their own.

Hundreds of children between the age groups of 3-5 living in Manik Farm blocks 13,14 and 15 together with their parents participated in a fun-filled sports day held on 10th October to mark the World Children’s Day.
